Novi started and managed her company, Buletsa Trading, in 2012 after leaving employment with Eskom (Lethabo Power Station) where she served for 5 years working as a Systems Engineer - Dust Plant and bottom Ash. She has also worked for Xstrata Alloys for 2 years where she was the Junior Engineer - Fabric Filter Plant and Auxiliaries, she was responsible to monitor daily trends to determine the performance of plant and to advice maintenance on plant related issues. To show her passion and commitment for her work she received numerous awards while working at Lethabo Power Station and some of these are:
• Engineer of the year - Sterling Performance Award 2011
• Achieved zero UCLF on the Bottom ash in 2009/2010
She joins BSMT Occupational Health Services with skills like planning, marketing, sales, business management and experience of managing her own company. She has experience of the need to ensure employees are medically fit to do the work and has undergone the process herself on numerous occasions. She ensures that people who leave her company for greener pastures take medical tests to ensure there are no detrimental effects on the person’s health from working with her. She monitors the daily trends of consultation within BSMT Occupational Health Services and reports her findings to enable an improvement and/or mitigation strategy by management. She is responsible for all machinery and tools maintenance and to ensure calibration is done as per the manufacturer specification. She forms part of the team that carries out a root cause analysis for all incidents to ensure corrective action and preventive action are done for each.
